Title

Popeye Cover, Recoloring representation

Description

Cover of a Popeye comic used to demonstrate an approach to color remastering, in which IDW likely used digital tools such as Photoshop to clean up and regrade a scan of the original comic. While this technique produces a more pleasing result for the screen-based reading experience, it does negatively affect the overall contrast and accuracy of the colors. This image is part of Andrew LeFurge's project website (https://mikrowelle.github.io/cooper-comics-final/).
